New Life Gospel Church of EFC is seeking for a chinese pastor for our mandarin speaking congregation. Our church is a member of the Evangelical Formosan Church (EFC), established in 1993 located in the City of Toronto.   New Life Gospel Church is a bilingual (Mandarin and English) community of Christ followers who gather to worship God through fellowship, prayer, discipleship, and mission. We have a multi-generational congregation made up of families, young adults, students, and people from all stages of their faith journey with approximately 210 adults and 70 children. 

新生命台福教會正在為我們的華語會眾尋找一位中文牧師。我們的教會是福音派台福教會 (EFC) 的成員，成立於 1993 年，位於多倫多市。新生命教會是雙語（華語和英語）教會，會友通過團契、祈禱、門徒訓練和宣教聚集在一起敬拜上帝。我們的會眾跨越不同年齡層，包括學生、青 年、家庭團契，事工包括社區關懷工作。目前每主日約有210人和70位小朋友出席.

Responsibilities 責任

  • Preaching the word to Chinese congregation as assigned by the Senior Pastor
  • Lead Chinese Bible studies/Sunday School
  • Participation and contribution in various Church related activities
  • Attend required meetings
  • Lead pray meetings as required
  • Care for Chinese congregation in conjunction with Church Caring Committee
  • Support Chinese Fellowship
  • Support Senior Pastor in duties as assigned

Qualifications 資歷

  • Div or Masters’s degree from an ATS accredited seminary
  • Experienced in evangelizing, equipping & discipling
  • Experienced in leading a multi-congregational church
  • Experienced and passionate in working with a younger generation
  • Able to communicate fluently in English and/or Mandarin

Part-time Director of Children Ministry – Updated May 16, 2022

 

New Life Gospel Church of EFC is seeking for a part-time Director for our children ministry. Our church is a member of the Evangelical Formosan Church (EFC), established in 1993 located in the City of Toronto.   New Life Gospel Church is a bilingual (Mandarin and English) community of Christ followers who gather to worship God through fellowship, prayer, discipleship, and mission. We have a multi-generational congregation made up of families, young adults, students, and people from all stages of their faith journey with approximately 200 adults and 50 children. 
 

Part-time Director of Children’s Ministry Job Description:

This Director leads all aspects of our ministry to children at New Life Gospel Church.

Hours/Status:

14-16 hours per week, including overseeing Sundays on site

Primary Job Responsibilities:

This Director will partner with volunteers to provide high-quality kids’ programming that is in line with New Life Gospel Church’s vision.

Working Relationships:

Reports to the Senior Pastor, partners with the other New Life staff/volunteers, and works in collaboration with the Children/Parents.

Required Skills and Experience:

∙ Spiritual maturity and evidence of ongoing personal spiritual formation.

∙ Minimum 3 years Children’s Ministry experience.

∙ Ability to work effectively with a leadership team.

∙ Ability to relate well to and engage with School Age children (mainly age 2-Grade 6) and their parents.

∙ Ability to recruit, build, and sustain a fully functioning team.

Responsibilities: Duties consist of, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

∙ To joyfully serve as part of the New Life Gospel Church children’s ministry team to develop a vision and strategy for the holistic spiritual formation and discipleship of children.

∙ To serve as the primary representative of, and spokesperson for, the school age (up to grade6) and preschool children.

∙ Responsible for overseeing (initiating, planning, and executing) Children’s Ministry at New Life, Sundays on site and some events off site.

∙ To recruit and train and support all volunteers including Sunday school teachers, helpers and children’s worship team.

∙ Maintain order and safety in the classroom for all children

∙ To coordinate special outreach events for children such as VBS, Hallelujah Night etc.

∙ Responsible for all scheduling and administrative tasks associated with children’s ministry.

Character:

∙ Has personal integrity and Godly character, with the heart of a shepherd.

∙ Demonstrates an ability to maintain harmonious relationships (including conflict resolutions skills) with church members, staff, guests and volunteers and must be able to assume responsibility and carry out duties with a minimum supervision.

∙ Must attend New Life Gospel Church Sunday service upon hiring.

New Life Gospel Church of EFC is seeking a senior pastor.  Our church is a member of the Evangelical Formosan Church (EC), established in 1993, and located in the City of Toronto.  New Life Gospel Church is a bilingual (Mandarin and English) community of Christ followers who gather to worship God through fellowship, prayer, discipleship, and mission.  We have a multi-generational congregation made up of families, young adults, students, and people from all stages of their faith journey with approximately 210 adults and 70 children.
 
Responsibilities and Attributes
  • Passionately loves Jesus Christ above all else, passionately loves the Body of Christ – the Church, and has great compassion for the lost
  • Knows how to listen to God’s voice and is obedient to God’s leading and guidance through Scripture and prayer
  • Studies God’s Word fervently for personal transformation first, before teaching and preaching to others
  • Has gentleness and humility in dealing with people and has wisdom to discern where to place people in ministry according to their gifts and strengths to build up the Body of Christ
Qualifications
  • Minimum M. Div degree from an ATS accredited seminary
  • Accepts EFC Bylaws and Statement of Faith (Bylaw B1300-1393)
  • Experienced in evangelizing, equipping, and discipleship
  • Experienced leading a multi-congregational church
  • Experienced and passionate in working with a younger generation

  • Minimum 3 years of pastoral experience if a North American congregation of 200+ members
